The Valley Symphony Orchestra is a
program of Los Angeles Valley College

Since 1992, the VALLEY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Robert Chauls, nationally known conductor, composer and pianist, has been presenting concerts known for their unique progamming, particularly of American music. While based in the San Fernando Valley, orchestral players from all over Los Angeles play in the orchestra, which has become one of the premiere community orchestras in Southern California. In addition to giving orchestra players an opportunity to work with a fine ensemble, the orchestra is dedicated to:

Shining the spotlight on exceptionally talented local singers, pianists and other instrumentalists who might not otherwise have a chance to perform with an orchestra

Promoting the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, particularly that of American composers

Offering a platform for compositions by local composers
